JACKSON ORCHARDS Rich & Trudy Jackson are owners of Jackson Orchards. We moved to Emmett five years ago and have worked at creating an enjoyable environment for people to visit and pick apples. The Orchard is located at 1879 W. South Slope Road. We have purposely left our trees low to the ground. The lower branches eliminate the need for ladders and allow the younger children to experience the joy of picking apples right off the tree. We encourage you to bring your family, have a picnic in the orchard and pick apples to take home. The orchard has three kinds of apples: Red Delicious, Golden Delicious and Romes. We have a huge crop this year, so there are plenty of apples. We plan to start U-Pick on Saturday October 4th and continue on weekends throughout October as long as "Mother Nature" cooperates. We will be open 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekends. You won't need a ladder, but you will need to bring your own containers or we will have boxes for sale for a $1.00. Our prices this year are 40¢ per pound for U-Pick. If you would like to have us pick for you, call ahead and we will have your apples ready. The price will be 50¢ per pound, with a minimum of 50 pounds.

The back to nature experience of strolling thru the mature orchard hand picking your own cherries with both feet on the ground is next to growing your own without the hassle of year round care of the trees. Our insurance does not allow us to supply a ladder but you may bring your own if you choose even though you won't need one. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and eat in the orchard. Orchard is a 9 ½ acre family-owned sweet cherry orchard with Bings, Lamberts, and Royal Ann Cherries available. Both U-Pick and picked for you cherries are available by the pound or in 20# box. It’s harvest time again at the Perin Orchard in Emmett, Idaho. Bite into one our unique Red Spur apples and you will see what makes them so special. Enjoy the crisp juicy flavor form the first bite clear to the core. Our apples are great for eating fresh and are also excellent for applesauce, apple juice, pies, baked apples, etc. Mmmm, fresh baked apple pie. No ladders are required because the dwarf trees are close to the ground. We have fresh apples to pick no matter how tall you are, 2 feet to 7 feet, more or less. Bring the family; children are welcome. Pack a lunch; enjoy the crisp fall country air as you stroll through the orchard. Handicrafts including birdhouse are available as well. The Perin Orchard, owned by Reisse and Geraldine Perin, has over 400 mature trees on 5 scenic acres of land. The trees were planted by one of the prominent orchard families in the Payette Valley. The Perins bought the property 3 years ago to enjoy the views and save the tress that are falling to development.
