But it will be October soon, and that means it is harvest time at the Perin Apple Orchard. We open this weekend (Oct 1). "U-pick" hours are 10am to 5pm both Saturday and Sunday. As a reminder, you can bring your own containers or purchase boxes here. Perin Orchard... October is harvest time at the Perin Orchard in Emmett, Idaho. Bite into one of our unique Red Spur apples and you will see what makes them so very special. Enjoy the crisp juicy flavor from the first bite to the last. Our apples are great for eating fresh, and are also excellent for applesauce, apple pies, baked apples, and juicing. As always, we encourage picnics and just hanging out enjoying the orchard. Reisse and I always look forward to seeing you every year. No ladders are needed. Because our dwarf trees are close to the ground, the apples are easily accessible for all pickers. Family friendly--Pack a lunch, enjoy a picnic and take in the crisp fall country air as you stroll through the orchard. Laughter in the orchard is contagious. The Perin Orchard, owned by Reisse and Geraldine Perin, has over 200 mature trees on 5 scenic acres of land. The trees were planted by one of the prominent orchard families in the Emmett Valley. The Perins bought the property 10 years ago to enjoy the views and save the trees that were falling to development. Both “U Pick” and “We Pick For You” are available by the pound, by the box or by the pickup load.
